Let Me Explain...

The reason I've been involved in this ministry for as long as I have is primarily due to how quintessential it is to my mental / emotional / spiritual health as a same-sex attracted Christian man.

And yes, it's all about the men.  Of course.  Their masculinity is what I feed on.  And that comes in different flavors, therefore it's like a smorgasbord of experiences, stories, personas.  But, overall, there're no assholes or self-centered jerks, and that's due to what Samson Society represents.

Also, Mr. Nate Larkin simply can do no wrong in my eyes.  He's such the exemplary leader of this org.  I absolutely love sitting at his feet and watching him bless us all with his wisdom.

And what's so great about this place is how optimized / matured it's become over the past 3-4 years, in particular.  And much of this is due to the men who've shown up / stepped up to lead similarly with weakness.

-------------------------

The '26 Summit (which I attended last week / weekend) was one of the first, if not the first, where the really hot guys simply didn't stand out for Rob.  And that's an important change for me.  For I cannot help but take note of men who fit somewhere within my masculine archetype.  As such, within testosterone infused settings like the Summit, it's typical for that hotness to - sort of - "part the maleness waters" for me in order to give me a datum to reference throughout the event.

That simply wasn't the case this time around.  And that's significant because it meant I felt that much more comfortable within that setting versus some sort of freak.

Keep in mind that feeling like a freak (within those type of settings) is absolutely typical for me.

-------------------------

I have to also give a shoutout to the venue this year.  It was absolutely perfectly scaled / designed.  The dining hall, in particular, was a standout architecturally.  It's clean lines, beautiful natural light and expansiveness served us well.

Michigan is truly lovely this time of year.

Plus, I got to see the Renaissance Center there in downtown!
